Abstract

The growing competition among organizations, mainly in relation to costs, has strengthened several global concepts and methodologies available with the objective of being the foundation for the search for continuous improvement. This work aims to carry out a case study to identify and detail the main factors influencing unscheduled corrective maintenance stoppages and low availability of drilling by Metal Ar operating at the Volta Grande- Nazareno Mine. Based on bibliographic research and data collection in the period from January/2020 to December/2020, qualitative, quantitative, structural analyzes were performed, calculating the mean time between failures, mean time between repairs, in order to measure availability and analyze failure modes and their effects.
