Abstract

This article applies concepts and tools from Reliability Engineering, correlating with the fields of
Corrosion, Lubrication, and Fracture Mechanics, to support technical decision-making based on risk analysis
and focused on equipment reliability. The aim is to minimize costs and losses associated with equipment during
its operational phase. Asset management tools with significant potential for proactive measures were established, focusing on the prevention of production, financial, and process safety losses. To standardize analyses
across different equipment classes, the data alignment and database setup were carefully adapted to meet the
ISO 14224 standard, contributing to the formulation of maintenance strategies based on essential statistical
data analyses that characterize equipment reliability requirements.
