ANALYSIS OF NUTRITIONAL KNOWLEDGE OF AMATEUR ATHLETES OF VARIOUS SPORTS

Abstract
Proper nutrition improves athletes' performance. The objective of this study was to evaluate the nutritional knowledge of 25 amateur athletes using the A-NSKQ questionnaire. Data collection was done through a Google Forms questionnaire posted on social media and by direct invitation. The eating attitudes test was also used, the results of which showed an average of 11.8 points, with no suggestions of risk behavior. The questionnaire data were analyzed in the Excel® 2019 Program, revealing an average of 39.1% correct answers in total nutritional knowledge (TNC), 31.8% in sports nutrition knowledge (SNC) and 55.3% in general nutrition knowledge (GNC). The athletes had poor to average nutritional knowledge, requiring more information on nutrition with the help of a Nutritionist
