PERSPECTIVES OF RESOLUTION 731/2023 OF THE FEDERAL NURSING COUNCIL: NURSING AND SUTURING
Main Article Content
Abstract
The release of simple suture by COFEN resolution 731/2023 represents a significant advance in the autonomy and qualification of nursing professionals. Literature bibliographic review study carried out in bases such as Scielo, Google Scholar, VHL and COREN and COFEN resolutions, analyzed productions between 2020 and 2024. The old COFEN resolution 278/2003 limited nurses, prohibiting them from performing sutures, an exclusive function of doctors until then. With the new resolution, nursing gains greater autonomy in the management of wounds and dressings. This newly acquired training strengthens the training of more qualified and autonomous professionals, reflecting the need for continuous adaptations for the future.
