COMBATING CYBERBULLYING IN THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the impact of cyberbullying and strategies for its prevention and combat within the school environment. The research was based on an initiative promoted at the Profª Eugênia Pitta Rangel Veloso Municipal School, with students aged 11 to 13, motivated by the increasing incidence of cyberbullying among young people. The methodology used involved data collection through online forms, data analysis, and interactive lectures, group dynamics, and debates. As a result, the students demonstrated a greater understanding about the subject, greater awareness of the legal and psychological consequences of cyberbullying, and a more open environment for dialogue and reporting. It is concluded that educational interventions are effective in promoting a culture of respect and digital safety
