Abstract
This study focuses on the analysis of the use of solar energy in Brazil, since it is recognized as an excellent alternative for reducing the environmental impacts caused by human energy needs. It is worth noting that Brazil, despite its enormous potential, makes little use of solar energy, despite the existing legal incentives for its application. In view of this, the present study aims to demonstrate the evolution of tax and regulatory incentives for the use of solar energy in Brazil. It is worth noting that the topic is not only socio-environmental, but also financially relevant, given the savings that this energy provides for the final product. It is worth noting that the study was conducted through exploratory research, using bibliographical research as methods. The generation, distribution and use of electricity reached its peak, as will be analyzed below, in Law 13.169/2015, which provides numerous tax incentives.
