Abstract

This is a preliminary study that aimed to recognize the environment as a fundamental human right, as well as to trace the impacts brought about by the lack of protection recognized with the repeal of CONAMA Resolution No. 302/2002. The permanent mangrove protection area is an important line of defense for marine biota and simultaneous protection for the environment and the health of the riverside population. Adopting the deductive methodology for the development of this research, based on theoretical references published in physical and digital media, it is possible to see the apparent social setback used by the speed with which the revocation was imposed and, mainly, by the absence of discussions with the main actors involved in the environmental protection of the maritime region.
