Case Alyne v. Brazil Committee on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women Érika Pucci da Costa Leal, Renata Salgado Leme

Main Article Content

Abstract

The right of women to access to health, especially those related to sexual and reproductive health, is also outlined in international documents. The lack of implementation of measures for these services to be effectively provided, more than implying a simple failure in service, is characterized as unacceptable discrimination. It concludes by the obligation of States to provide universal access to health and their responsibility even when violations are committed by a person or entity authorized by him to exercise activities that would be proper to governmental authority.
