ADOLESCENT DEPRESSION AND THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT: WARNING SIGNS FOR EDUCATORS Clécio Danilo Dias da Silva

Abstract
This study aimed to review the literature on the topic of depression in adolescence, as well as to explain the signs and symptoms that should be observed by the educators in the classroom, collaborating significantly for the correct identification, as well as the development of actions School environment. The research was carried out through searches in the LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean in Health Sciences) databases, and SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), BIREME (Virtual Health Library) and Virtual Health Library ( BVS), using the following descriptors: Depression, adolescence, depression in adolescence, adolescents in school, depression and its school implications. At the end of the bibliographic survey, 21 articles were effectively used, selected according to quality and relevance with the proposed theme. In general, we emphasize the importance of studies that have as a theme the subjects discussed in this article, providing knowledge and guidance to teachers about various symptoms of depression in adolescence, contributing to the adequate identification, and consequently enabled, a specific and differentiated assistance in the environment School.
