Abstract
The purpose of this article is to reflect on the main difficulties encountered by teachers in the literacy of students with disabilities in the early years of elementary school and to identify the gaps found in relation to teaching practices and strategies. The survey of these difficulties was made through bibliographic research and is based on the assumptions of Mantoan. As a result of the research, it was found that changes in posture, referral and strategies used by educators in the classroom are necessary so that students can have access to better quality teaching that takes into account the learning conditions of students. students.
