Abstract

The objectives of this article are to provide the necessary conditions for students to have more meaningful, dynamic, authentic and innovative learning experiences and for teachers to feel motivated and connected to the 21st century. The justification is related to the need to cultivate and transform the school into a vibrant learning community. It is necessary to admit that the transformation is individual, but it only happens within a context where there is belonging to a community and mutual support. Thus, using active learning methodologies, such as problem-based learning-PBL and also the escape room, are seen as alternatives that streamline classes and motivate students to learn. Through these methodologies, the student becomes the protagonist of his learning, starting from problems that are put to him and are challenged to solve them in a process in which the activity is an instrument for the construction of knowledge.  Keywords: Learning.
