Abstract

The Burnout Syndrome can be considered a type of occupational stress that affects the performance of professionals in theirroles. The aim of this research was to measure this disease in employees of a Municipal Unit of Child Education in the city of Santos (SP) through the use of questionnaire. It was found that the professionals surveyed are affected by Burnout Syndrome at different levels of intensity, the dimensions of professional exhaustion, depersonalization and low career accomplishment.
