The participation of the Paraná Military Police in the Lapa siege João Carlos Toledo Júnior

Abstract

 The Siege of Lapa occurred at the beginning of 1894, after the city of Lapa / PR was besieged by the Federalist troops (Maragatos) commanded by Gumercindo Sairava. Ernesto Gomes Carneiro. In this context, the article seeks to establish a reading about the participation of the Security Regiment (current PMPR) in this war-consolidating conflict of the Republic, also highlighting the actions triggered in other places of Paraná by members of the Security Regiment.
