Abstract
The main objective of this article is to address the profile and, at the same time, the social vulnerability index of patients living in the municipality of Santos assisted in a Concession Program for individual hearing aids, analyzing the main variables: age group, gender, income, place of residence, insertion in the labor market, age and neighborhood. Methods: This is a descriptive, retrospective cross-sectional study of data collection and analysis, which included patients who started their care at the service in the period from 2017 to 2019. Results: among the central elements observed, there are there is a predominance of those assisted in the age group between 60 and 80 years old and mostly women (58%). Other important elements to highlight: retired people (65%), who do not work (87%), receive from 2 to 4 salaries (46%). Conclusion: Starting from the guiding thread of the analysis, the São Paulo Social Vulnerability Index, the patients seen have very low and low vulnerability.
