Abstract
The garment development process produces a considerable amount of waste, which is a cause for concern. Objective: To explore the impact of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 12, on the problem of textile waste from the disposal and production of clothing. Method: As a research method, the case of clothing disposal in Atacama, Chile, is used as the object of study. Results: An overview of the case of the clothing cemetery is presented, as well as an analysis from the perspective of the 2030 Agenda. Conclusion: Finally, and as a conclusion of the work, a hypothesis for a solution to this environmental conflict is presented.
