Main Article Content
Abstract
This article uses statistical data (jurimetrics) and information about Labor Court Proceedings in cities in the Campinas Metropolitan Region that are served by this specialized court. Socioeconomic data on these same cities participating in the RMC were also researched and organized, allowing for cross-referencing of information and the finding that the greatest number of disputes per worker occurs in the same order as cities with the greatest wealth (highest revenue and highest GDP), demonstrating the existence of a greater class conflict in locations with the greatest concentration of income. To this end, the authors created a litigation index, consisting of dividing the total number of lawsuits in a city by the number of formal workers in the same city.
