Correct recording of SIGTAP table coding in nursing childcare consultations for children under 2 years of age in Primary Care Hosana Maria do Nascimento, José Isaías Costa Lima, Cristiane Naoko Takamine

Abstract

Background: The Electronic Citizen Record (PEC) allows the recording of all personal and clinical information of the patient during care. One of the pieces of information that must be present is the consultation procedure code as established in the Table of Procedures, Medications, Orthoses/Prostheses and Special Materials of the Unified Health System, which was created to structure the data that assisted in studies, analyses, planning, regulation and evaluation in health management. Problem: This study aims to evaluate the correct recording of SIGTAP table coding in nursing childcare consultations for children under two years of age in primary care. Objective: to present and discuss which codes in the table were entered during consultations in family health strategy units in a municipality on the South Coast of São Paulo. Method: This is a descriptive and exploratory research with a quantitative approach with secondary data from the computerized system. Results: they showed incorrect recording during consultations. According to the System for Managing Procedures, Medications, Orthoses, Prostheses and Materials of the Unified Health System, there are two codes for childcare consultations: 0301010277 and 030101026. The first code had the highest number of consultations during the study period. However, this code is automatically entered by the Computerized System, while code 0301010269 is entered manually, leaving its insertion to the professional's discretion. However, both codes should be entered in childcare consultations for children under 2 years of age. Conclusion: It is recommended that those responsible for the Computerized System enter both codes automatically during the consultation.
