Abstract

This article examines the application of robotics as an active methodology approach in the educational context, highlighting its crucial role in transforming teaching and learning. It focuses on the transition to active methodologies, which encourage the active participation of students in knowledge construction, in contrast to the traditional model of lecture-based teaching. It argues that effective learning goes beyond the mere passivity of students, emphasizing the need for more dynamic interaction.A highlight of the study is an innovative experiment in schools in the city of Santos - SP, where students used robotics to recreate Leonardo da Vinci's flying machine. This project illustrated how robotics can be an effective educational tool, integrating theory and practice to enhance skills such as critical thinking and problem-solving. The success of this experiment highlighted the significant contribution of educational robotics to more interactive and engaging learning. The article also addresses the impact of advanced technologies, such as robotics, on the way knowledge is acquired and shared, underscoring the need to adapt pedagogical practices to technological advancements. Active methodologies are discussed as effective teaching strategies that promote student autonomy and active participation in the educational process. In conclusion, the study asserts that robotics, when used as an active methodology, not only improves the quality of teaching and learning, but also prepares students for the challenges of an increasingly technological world. The adoption of educational robotics is considered an innovative and promising approach to teaching, capable of enriching the traditional curriculum and providing a more practical and meaningful learning experience. The article highlights the potential of educational robotics as a powerful tool in the contemporary educational landscape.
