The applicability of equity by Sistema Único de Saúde in maternal deaths of black women

Abstract
Contextualization: The article highlights insufficiencies in the applicability of the principle of equity of the Sistema Único de Saúde with regard to maternal deaths of black women, regardless of social origin, making the cut only ethnic. Problem: Considering that the mortality rate of pregnant black women in childbirth is twice as high as that of white women, due to factors such as late prenatal care, pre-existing illnesses, early pregnancy, place of hospitalization and difficulty in being welcomed by a health unit to deliver the baby. Objective: To demonstrate that ethnic differences impact the health of Brazilian women even with the equity principles of the Sistema Único de Saúde. Method: An empirical-deductive approach was used, based on official data from the Ministry of Health. Results: This set of data points to the lack of applicability of the State and health professionals in caring for black women. Conclusion: Contradicting one of the fundamental rights present in the Sistema Único de Saúde guidelines, equity, black maternal women do not have the applicability of the principle of rights guaranteed
