Home Fire Prevention: A Proposal to change the Law Adelino Baena Fernandes Filho, Wellington Pascoalini Santos

Abstract

This research presents an adaptation of the Rules of fire safety of buildings and areas of risk in the State of São Paulo (State Decree 56.819/11) to meet also single family homes, according to the recommendations of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), Massachusetts, USA. Finally, presents preventive measures applicable to residences that seek to reduce human and material losses caused by fire, as well as mitigate the risks of home fires.
