Abstract

Cases of violence against the homeless population have been reported more frequently in the media. Violations of the dignity of homeless people are constant, whether physical or moral aggression. Rights inherent to human beings, guaranteed by the current Federal Constitution, are ignored daily, such as freedom, equality, security, education, health, food, work, housing and leisure. In addition to all the rights not guaranteed to these people, they also suffer physical violence. Physical violence is often practiced by the State itself, through its police officers. In this context, we will address police violence against homeless people. For this analysis, the inductive method and the examination of national and international doctrines were used.
