Abstract

This article derives from the research carried out by the authors in regard
to civil liability of dental surgeons for damages caused to patients when performing the so-called orthognathic surgery, under a specific service contract, in order to see whether this liability would result from an obligation of means or result.In this regard, we needed to study the different procedures performed by dental surgeons in conjunction with clinical dentists in order to understand the technical processes, which could result in civil liability for any damages caused, when the causal link between the damage and the professional act or omission is established.
