Abstract
With the advent and advancement of the Internet, consumer law has gained a new field of practice in what is nowadays called e-commerce, bringing about echnological advancements in the associated consumer relations. It is no different in the area of health, with the arrival of startups, the so-called healthtechs. The objective of this study is to investigate the evolution of doctrine and case law regarding the subject of the consumer protection code and its application to healthtechs, in order to ascertain their status as suppliers and their liability for violating consumer rights. The research comprised only healthtechs and their contribution towards health, with an exploratory survey to determine to what extent they would be subject to civil liability for damages caused to users due to violations of consumer rights.
