Health mediation as a self-composing public policy for access to justice Thaís de Camargo Oliva

Abstract

This article discusses the institution of mediation, particularly in relation to health conflicts, as an instrument for ensuring access to health. To this end, a bibliographical research was carried out, addressing the data collected using deductive and systemic methods. The objective of this study is to analyze the aforementioned institution from the perspective of the human right to health, in view of the excessive judicialization of health through individual lawsuits. Finally, based on the study of health mediation in collective lawsuits, how this instrument can act to reorient public health policies, aiming at expanding access to quality actions and services.
