Main Article Content
Abstract
In 2021, the National Council of Justice established the Protocol for Trials with a Gender Perspective to combat discrimination in the Judiciary. The objective of this study is to analyze the Protocol for Trials with a Gender Perspective, its formation and practical application, in order to raise elements for a future judgment on the effectiveness of the Protocol. The method of this research, of an exploratory nature, is that of narrative review. It is observed that in the search to improve the commitments assumed internationally with the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women and with the 2030 Agenda, Brazil, through the National Council of Justice, turned its attention to the need to combat and prevent violence against women in the Judiciary. There is a need to advance concepts. Nevertheless, the Protocol for Trials with a Gender Perspective constitutes a significant step in making Brazilian judges see the issue.
